Also, because of the overwhelming generosity of the recent donations we have changed server hosts to upgrade our main server. Lag should be a thing of the past for the most part and the number of public slots has been increased. We want to thank all of you that sent donations and hope others will follow your lead so we can continue to offer the best possible ET experience to our visitors.

The new IP for the QAW Original Maps server is 63.210.145.21:27960. The old server will go down soon so spread the word! And make sure you update your ASE.

10-11-2005 - We are sad to announce the very first QAW retirement. Ironically it is the first person recruited by QAW not personally known by the founding members. Wheel has been a member of our family for 15 months and we are all sad to see him leave. We wish him luck in his future endeavors and hope he will stop by once in awhile to check in and let us know he is alright.

09-26-2005 - Promotions have been awarded! Due to the long overdue status some members have advanced more than one rank. Some members will also be granted a higher admin level commensurate with their new rank.

Also of note is the creation of a new section on the Member's Page. The AFK Reserve are those members that have either not been seen for awhile or not been able to participate as much. They remain full members with all admin rights and benefits intact.

The servers are back up after being down for the second time in ten days. We have been promised little to no lag after this maintenance and will be assessing the situation over the next few days.

09-16-2005 - Servers still down as of 12:00 pm CST. Our provider is having problems with the IPs apparently and we do not know when the situation will be resolved. This not only affects QAW servers but others on the same IP block. We will update as soon as new information is available.

In the meantime you can still use the old QAW server 67.15.21.123:27960 which is still up and running our regular campaign with functional Punkbuster.

The servers are back up but we have again changed IPs. The new IPs are:

207.210.215.153:27960 - Custom maps

08-12-2005 - Our server host is moving to a new Network provider (which should help immensely with the lag). Unfortunately this means we will be getting new IPs for the servers. We will try to have the new IPs a few days in advance of the actual change, but can't guarantee it. This is just a heads up, in case the servers disappear at some point in the near future.

Either way, as soon as we do know for sure, it will be posted here and in the forums.

08-03-2005 - Server update. The 120 and 121 servers have been shut down. **UPDATE** Due to a clerical error, the 121 server will remain up for the month of August.

07-21-2005 - Server update.

67.15.21.120:27960 = Original maps, ETPro. We wanted to try having a more "old school" server so FF is on, we're allowing one panzerfaust per team and we've also slowed the speed down a bit. This server will also act as the TWL practice server.

67.15.21.121:27960 = Original maps (currently), Jaymod. This mod picks up where Shrub left off and adds some fun modes like Panzer War and Sniper War. Check it out!

The 122 and 123 servers will remain as they were: ETPub, Custom maps and Original maps (respectively).

6-30-2005 - The servers are being updated to their new, and hopefully permanent setup. The new arrangement is as follows:

67.15.21.121:27960 = Mixed Mods, Mixed maps. This server will run ETpro, ETpub, Jaymod, fortymod, and any other mods we feel like playing with, starting with ETpub (because it's easiest to setup). It will also run a mix of original and custom maps. Downloads will be kept to a minimum for this server, with no more than 3 or maybe 4 maps to DL at any time. Right now there is only 1 map to download, Venice. Visit the Servers page for map downloads.

67.15.21.122:27960 = ETpub Custom maps. This is the All Customs server, running a 10-map ET campaign, an 8-map RTCW campaign and alternating BaseRace versions in between. There are a lot of maps to DL here; 19 right now. Visit the Servers page for map downloads.

67.15.21.123:27960 = ETpub Original maps. No downloads on this server, ever. Slots have been increased to 22 as well.

67.15.21.120:27960 will be gone for a day or so, and when it returns it will be running the Unreal Tournament 2004 demo. This server will be changed every few weeks to a different game, from UT2k4 to CoD to RTCW 1.4 to BF2. We may even run some TC mods for ET, such as True Combat: Elite or ET Fortress. We're starting with the UT2K4 demo since it's free to DL, and it has lots of fun maps and game modes. We are NOT officially branching out into any other games!

All the changes should be done by 10:00PM CST.

Congratulations also to all the teams that took part: Exile, Lucky Charms, The Yetis, TNT, ?'s, Horizon, BFS and KFM. You all made this year's tourney that much better and QAW thanks you all!
